Description

A row of three houses and a shop/office, dated to the mid-18th century with a partial earlier core. The building is constructed of brick with a plain tiled roof, and some timber framing is visible in the gable wall of number 7. It is two storeys high with attic dormers in the roof. The facade presents a 12-window range, although number 10 now has a 6-window range, likely resulting from the combination of two earlier houses. Number 10 has a single window to the right of the inserted doorway, which features a 6-panelled door with a round-arched fanlight in a reeded case. The windows are flush-framed 12-pane sashes, each with a flat-arched gauged brick head. A recessed 6-panelled door with overlight is located to the right of number 8, also inserted in the early 19th century, and flanked by two 4-pane sashes. An inserted shop front is present in number 7, with sash windows above. The front features a string course and an overhanging wood eaves cornice. Rear wall stacks are also present.
