Description
Copelands is a house with a core dating back to the 17th century, which was remodeled in the early 19th century. The earlier timber-framed structure is encased in brick and finished with stucco, topped by a slate roof. The building has an irregular plan, featuring a main rectangular block with a central entrance and an axial stack, along with a further wing at the rear.
It stands two storeys tall, with a stuccoed front that includes rusticated quoins, Corinthian pilasters, and a modillion eaves cornice. The facade has three glazing bar sash windows with semi-circular heads, moulded architraves, and shaped keystones. There is a penticed verandah on the ground floor supported by decorative cast iron supports. The central doorway features an overlight, sidelights, and a half-glazed door. At the rear, part of the original square panelled timber-framing is visible.
