Description
The Church of St Michael is a parish church that dates back to the 12th century, featuring a nave and chancel from that period. The west tower was added in the 13th century and has a later truncated pyramid roof with a spire. There is also a late 19th-century vestry and a south porch. The church underwent restorations in 1862 and 1885. Notable monuments include a mid-13th century incised slab dedicated to Maud Edefen, effigies of a man and wife from around 1510, and an effigy of a man with crossed legs from the early 14th century.
