Description
This barn, located about 100 yards south-south-west of the Mynde, is likely from the early to mid-18th century. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber frame with brick infill and weatherboards, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has five bays that run roughly north to south. The west elevation displays a deep plinth and two rows of panels beneath the wall-plate, along with central opposed entries. Inside, the structure includes trusses with angle struts connecting the ties to the principals, and the ties are supported by angle struts from the wall-posts. The frame is made with unusually thick scantling, resulting in narrow rectangular panels.
