Description

This barn, located 10 metres east of Rancliffe Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and was likely designed and built for Sir Thomas Parkyns of Bunny Hall. It is constructed of red brick and features a concrete pantile roof. The barn has red brick coped gables with kneelers and is two storeys high, comprising two bays. There is a two-storey doorway with a plank door, and on the first floor, there is a single casement window. The structure includes eight slit ventilators. Following a devastating fire in 1705, much of the village of Bradmore was rebuilt by Sir Thomas Parkyns to his own designs. This barn is included in the listing for its group value.
