Description

This is a column sundial located 50 meters east of the Church of Holy Rood, dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a chamfered octagonal base with three steps. The sundial has a Tuscan column that rests on a chamfered square base. At the top, there is a cubic section with four dials and a moulded cornice. Above this, a dwarf obelisk supports a ball finial, which is adorned with an ecliptic ring.
