Description

This listing describes a pair of pillars located 10 metres south of the south front of the Manor House in Sturton le Steeple. The pillars date from the 17th century and are made of ashlar stone. The 17th-century octagonal pillars are set on square bases and feature domed caps with ball finials. The 19th-century octagonal pillars have chamfered octagonal bases and also have ball finials. These pillars may have originally been part of the Manor House and are included in the listing for their group value.
