Description
This stable, dated 1779, was built for Richard Mottley. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped pantile roof with stone hips and remnants of a finial. The building is single storey and has three unequal bays. On the south side, there is a 20th-century garage door on the right, flanked to the left by a plank door and to the right by a stable door, both of which have segmental heads. The east gable displays a stepped datestone inscribed 'R M 1779'. The north side includes two doors, two slatted casements, two plain casements, and five blocked openings. This stable is included in the listing for its group value only.
