Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century with significant alterations in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick, with a colourwashed exterior, and has a 20th-century pantile roof. The building features a dentillated first floor band, dentillated eaves and eaves band, and three ashlar coped and tumbled gables with kneelers. A single ridge stack rises from the roof. The layout is L-shaped. The two-storey main west front has, on the left, a 19th-century doorcase with large scroll brackets supporting a hood, an overlight, and a half-glazed door. To the right of the doorcase is a 19th-century plain sash window with a segmental head. Above the doorcase, to the left, is a plain sash window, and to the right, a three-light mullioned and transomed casement set within a chamfered and rebated ashlar reveal. The south front has two plain sash windows to the left and a blocked opening to the right. Above these, there are two plain sash windows and another blocked opening. Above that, on the left, is a blocked opening, and wall ties are visible in the form 'J S'. The east gable has a 20th-century casement window on each floor.
