Description

Old Tollgate Bridge is a late 18th-century bridge made of red brick with ashlar dressing. It features a single span with concave parapets. The bridge has a round-headed brick arch that includes an ashlar keystone. The brick parapet slightly oversails and is supported by piers at the swept abutments, all topped with ashlar saddleback coping. This bridge crosses the old River Ancholme.
