Description

No. 31 Westgate is a house and shop, which are separate premises, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a three-storey slate roof. The building has three windows on the upper two floors, all with glazing bars. The ground floor includes a bay window for the house, along with a 19th-century shop window and door. The entrance door to the house has a round head, panelled ingoes, and a plain fanlight, and it is a six-panel door accessed by four steps. There is also an early 19th-century door at the side, which is adorned with reeded pilasters and an entablature. A scraper is present as well. Nos. 31 to 40 Westgate form a group.
