Description
Glen House is an early 19th-century house, with the second floor raised in 1840. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features an asbestos slate roof with two brick gable stacks. The building has a T-plan and is three storeys high with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door with a plain overlight, set within a plain pilastered surround topped with a dentillated hood. On either side of the door are single plain glazing bar sash windows. The first floor has a narrower window flanked by similar glazing bar sashes, while the second floor features three smaller glazing bar sashes. All windows have brick segmental heads, and the ground and first floor windows include plain key blocks. At the rear, there is a tall semi-circular headed stairlight with Gothick tracery. Inside, there is a stick baluster stair with columnar newels.
