Description

The Manor House is a late 16th-century farmhouse that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with a slate roof featuring prominent stone coped gables and scrolled kneelers. Two square ashlar chimney stacks with simple cornices rise from the roof. The house is arranged in an L-shape.

The front of the house has three bays and is two stories high. A chamfered plinth runs along the base. The central door is a four-panelled design with a low traceried fanlight, set within a semi-circular moulded stone frame topped with a keyblock decorated with a lozenge pattern. Two Doric pillars support a moulded entablature above the door. Flanking the door are single three-light windows. The first floor has a two-light window flanked by single three-light windows. All windows feature tall, slender, ovolo-moulded mullions and recessed, chamfered surrounds. A 19th-century two-light window is set into the left-hand gable and has a chamfered mullion.

The rear of the building is of coursed limestone rubble and contains 19th-century two- and three-light windows with chamfered mullions on both floors.
