Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1660, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick in English bond and features a concrete tiled roof, tumbled gables, and gable stacks, one of which has a brick rib. The building has a cross plan and stands two storeys plus a garret, with a seven-bay front that includes a plinth, a dogtoothed band at the first floor, and an eaves band.
The central bay is slightly advanced and gabled, creating a tapering three-storey porch with a brick-coped gable and kneelers. The porch has a central elliptical arched outer doorway with a half-glazed inner door set in stepped reveals, and there are blocked side lights. On either side of the porch, there are three glazing bar sash windows in arched openings, with 20th-century brick infilling at the heads. The first floor features five similar windows, one of which is blocked, with flat brick heads. Inside the porch, there are narrower windows on each floor. At the rear, there is a similar three-storey projection, which presumably originally contained the stair.
