Description
Thatched Cottage is a late 17th-century cottage that has been altered in the 20th century. It features painted brick construction and a thatched roof with a single ridge and gable red brick stacks. The cottage has a lobby entry and a two-unit plan, with an added parlour and service block. It is a single storey plus attics and has a three-bay front, with the left-hand end bay recessed. The off-centre 20th-century door is covered by an open rustic thatched porch. To the right of the door is a single two-light casement window, and to the left, there is a pair of two-light casement windows, both with segmental heads. The roof includes two thatched dormers, each with two-light casements. Additionally, there is an added single-storey wing to the right.
