Description
Nos 62, 64, and 66 on Yeoman Street include the King's Head Public House, which dates from around 1675. The building is constructed from coursed stone rubble and has two storeys plus attics. It features a three-light mullioned window with 18th-century glazing, a gabled dormer with another three-light mullioned window, and an advanced gabled wing on the left side that also has a three-light mullioned window. The gable ends are stone-coped, and there are modern tiles on the roof, with ball-headed finials on the gables.
Nos 64 and 66 were formerly shown as a cottage range attached to the King's Head Public House on the east side and date from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are also built from coursed stone rubble and have two storeys plus attics. These houses feature four modern casement windows in plain surrounds and two chamfered square-headed doorways, one of which has a modern porch. At the rear, there are small original lights and a three-light mullioned window in the gabled end, along with angle dressings.
