Description

Brampton House is a house likely dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the early and late 19th centuries. The house is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. The main facade faces Welwyn Close and features two gables linked by an eaves band below them, incorporating date plaques indicating 1812 and 1874. It is two storeys high with three sash windows. The central entrance has a six-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, and is set within an open, pedimented doorcase featuring engaged columns. A further facade to Old Hall Road is three storeys high, with two windows and a single round-arched window within a gable end, accompanied by pierced and scalloped bargeboards.
