Description
The Station Master's House, formerly known as Idridgehay Station House, is a house built around 1867 that served as the residence for the station master. It is constructed from regularly coursed squared gritstone and features plain gables, a single ashlar intermediate ridge stack, and an over-sailing Welsh slated roof. The house has a 'T' plan layout and is two storeys high. The ground floor includes semi-circular headed windows, while the first floor has openings with flat chamfered lintels. The west gable projects and contains two ground floor windows and a single first floor light, all fitted with glazing bar sashes. There is a doorway located at the angle of the west gable and the main range. The building is listed for its group value context.
