Description
Bilton House is a house built in the mid to late 18th century and refurbished in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features large quoins at the left end. The roof is made of Welsh slate with coped gables and a brick chimney located between the right bays. The house has two storeys and an attic, with four bays, the left bay previously serving as an outbuilding. The windows are three-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars and wooden lintels. There are also similar two-light windows in the second bay to the right of a wide half-glazed door, and between the right bays above a flush panelled door leading to the lobby entry. All the casements were renewed in the 20th century, and there are two 20th-century skylights. Inside, the lobby entry aligns with the window staircase and the main stack.
