Description

Manor Farmhouse is a house and attached outbuilding from the mid-19th century, which incorporates some features from a 17th-century house that was previously on the site. The building is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and has Collyweston slate roofs, with coped gables and ashlar chimneys located to the left and between the right bays of the house.

The house is two stories tall and has three bays, with a gabled projection at the rear that may have once contained a staircase. The mid to late 19th-century sash windows feature slightly cambered stone arches and limestone sills. The central door has leaded glazing in the upper panels, a rectangular fanlight above, and a flat hood supported by shaped wooden brackets. There is a blocked two-light window in the left gable with an ovolo-moulded stone surround and a mullion. The rear projection also has similar mullion windows.

The outbuilding to the right is two stories tall and has two bays. It features windows of the same type as the house, although they have been mutilated, with the mullions removed and the lintels notched to accommodate later stanchions. These reused windows have cyma recta cornices. In the center of the outbuilding is a board door with a 19th-century cambered arch. The right gable end and rear wall of the outbuilding have vent slits. The deeds for the house date back to 1668.
