Description

This is an early 17th-century house that was refronted in the early 18th century. The building has a steep roof covered in stone slates and includes two moulded stone chimney stacks. The exterior features good lead rainwater heads and spouting. It is two storeys high.

The Burley Road elevation shows a projecting gable end of the south wing. This side has windows set in plain reveals, with flat, cemented arches over them, the central window featuring a moulded stone frame and keystone. The windows have glazing bars. A modern door is set within a moulded stone doorcase, which has a shouldered architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a moulded cornice. The Bull Lane elevation displays several two-light stone mullion windows.

Inside, there is a good early 17th-century staircase with "barley sugar" turned balusters. One ground floor room has early 18th-century panelling and a fireplace of the same period, located in the pantry.
