Description
This is a classical building dating from 1863. It has two main floors and a recessed basement. The front elevation, facing Cliff Parade, has five bays and returns at a rebated angle to the adjacent three bays along King Street. The building is constructed of ashlar stone, with a plinth, a band at the first floor level, a top entablature, and a blocking course. The windows are sash windows set in raised, flat frames with ovolo moulding around the reveals. A three-step approach leads to a six-panel door, above which is an oblong fanlight. The door is within a doorcase featuring engaged Tuscan columns and an entablature.
