Description

No. 5 Duncan Street is a shop built around 1900, with alterations made in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall, plus an attic, and features one bay. The ground floor has a later 20th-century shop entrance and window. The first and second floors are adorned with shallow canted bay windows that have rusticated mullions and a modillion cornice. At the gable, there is a Diocletian window with alternate stone voussoirs. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
