Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 10 metres to the south-east of Number 62 on High Street in Clifford, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed, squared magnesian limestone and features a flat roof.
The building includes a square, two-storey turret with a partly-canted projection set back on the left side. The turret has a wide boarded door beneath a flat arch, with external stone steps leading to a panelled door on the first floor, also beneath a similar arch. The centre of the first floor features a damaged sash window with glazing bars, a projecting stone sill, and a flat arch above. The set-back projection on the left has an ogee-headed doorway. The structure is topped with an embattled parapet that has roll-moulded merlons, and a capped stack rises from the left side of the turret. The partly-canted projection is within the curtilage of the adjacent property, St. Edward's Lodge. The building has not been fully inspected and is included for its group value.
