Description

This is a former drying house, originally part of the larger Victoria Flax Mill complex in Leeds. It was built by 1847 and probably saw alterations around 1865 as part of the mill complex for WB Holdsworth. The building is constructed of brick and has a louvred slate roof. It is approximately three storeys high, with nine bays running along its length and three bays in width. The south side features a round-arched opening at ground floor level. The interior has not been inspected. This building holds group value as an example of industrial architecture associated with the flax milling industry.
