Nos 25 and 27 on Scarhouse Lane are a pair of terraced weavers' cottages built in the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a pitched stone slate roof. The cottages have two storeys and are characterized by their south elevation, which includes two doors with stone surrounds on the ground floor, and two 3-light stone mullioned windows, where two lights of each window have arched frames. On the first floor, there are two 5-light stone mullioned windows, with three lights on each window featuring glazing bars. The north elevation has two 2-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor. The property also has two chimneys, one of which is brick and has tabling.
