Description
The Friends Meeting House is a detached Quaker meeting house built in 1783, featuring minor alterations. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and has quoins. The roof is made of turned stone slate, and there is an ashlar stack with a moulded cap and a domed metal flue. The building has five bays, with two entrances located on the left side. The windows, including fanlights, are fitted with glazing bars. Inside, there is a gallery to the west supported by Doric columns, and the balustrade includes fielded panels. There is a later extension at the rear, along with a small outbuilding of a similar age to the main structure, also located at the rear.
