Description
43 Wooldale Road is a former single house, now only partially occupied, dating from 1696. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features quoins. The stone slate roof has chamfered gable copings on kneelers, adorned with an inscribed scroll pattern and some finials. There are two ashlar stacks, one located at the gable and the other at the eaves. The building has two storeys.
To the left, there is a partially blocked entrance with a deep, shaped lintel inscribed with "L.W. 1696." A 6-light double chamfered window with mullions and a transom has been removed. There are two later entrances added to the building. On the first floor, there are two 20th-century windows set in stone surrounds. To the right, each floor features one 3-light double chamfered window, although the ground floor's mullions have been removed. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut extension with one small 3-light double chamfered window, also with removed mullions. The left gable has two 2-light double chamfered windows, with one having its mullion removed and the other being blocked.
