Description

A pair of houses dating from the early to mid-19th century, located on High Street, Honley. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The east elevation is symmetrical, with two storeys, while the west elevation has three. The east side features two entrances on the ground floor, alongside two central three-light stone mullioned windows. Above, two six-light stone mullioned windows are visible on the first floor, with one window having one mullion removed. A continuous sill band runs along the first floor. The south-western portion of the west elevation has been rebuilt, matching the original style. The northern part (number 5) incorporates a recent garage entrance to the ground floor. The first floor has two single-light windows, while the second floor features two three-light stone mullioned windows, potentially remnants of a former eight-light window.
