Description

This is a terrace of four weavers' houses, comprising numbers 10, 11, 12, and 13 Well Hill, located in Honley. Built in the early to mid-19th century, the houses are constructed with hammer-dressed stone and have a stone slate roof with stone brackets. They are three storeys high and feature sill bands to the first and second floors. The east-facing elevation of each pair of houses has two central doorways, with a two-light stone mullioned window to either side. Each house originally had a six-light stone mullioned window on both the first and second floors, although the two centre lights of these windows have been blocked. The west-facing ground floor has a single light to each dwelling, while the first and second floors each have a single six-light stone mullioned window to each dwelling, with the centre two lights blocked on the first floor. An extension exists at numbers 10 and 11.
