Description

The Dryclough Hotel is an early 19th-century building, with an addition at the west end dating to the mid- or late 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof. The original part of the building has two storeys. The first floor has three six-light stone mullioned windows; the easternmost of which has four blocked lights and one removed mullion. There is also one casement window. The ground floor features two four-light stone mullioned windows, one of which has had two mullions removed, a casement window, and a five-light stone mullioned window. A one-storey extension to the east has a door with six fielded panels and a three-light stone mullioned window with glazing bars, and contemporary iron bars on the exterior. At the rear of the building, a ten-light stone mullioned window exists, with eight lights blocked. There are also two six-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor, and a three-light and two four-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor; one of the four-light windows has a removed mullion. A planked door and a door with six sunk panels are also present at the rear.
