Description

No. 24 Kirkgate is a building dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from colour-washed hammer-dressed stone and features a hipped stone slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has a moulded eaves cornice, with the left-hand section adorned with modillions. There is a band between the first and second floors on the left side, and the building has raised quoins. The original design includes four ranges of sash windows, although modern shopfronts have been added.
