Description

Newlands House and Newlands Farmhouse are a 17th-century house, partly rebuilt in the 19th century. Originally a single house, they are now composed of two sections. The building is constructed of stone with a stone roof. The plain 19th-century south wing, with three windows and a verandah, is of limited interest, although it contains two carved labels that have been reset into the east gable. The earlier, irregular rear of the house retains some mullioned windows, including a very long one to the ground storey on the east side and two windows to the gabled east wing, the upper one featuring a transome. A lean-to has been added to the rear.
