Description
Nos 33, 37, and 39 on Daisy Hill Lane are a pair of cottages built around 1800, forming a two-storey L-shaped block made of sandstone "brick." No 35 is now part of No 33. Nos 37 and 39 were likely added slightly later. The cottages feature stone slate roofs with block brackets at the eaves. No 33 has a saddlestone with shaped kneelers at its gable end and a hipped roof over the corner of No 39. There is a sill band present. No 33 includes two first-floor windows and a lower oval window with a dovecote above it, along with a doorway that has a large plain stone lintel. No 37, which has two fronts at the corner, features a single and two three-light square mullioned windows. No 39 is notable for its narrow full-height bow on both fronts, with two-light square mullion windows. It also has a doorway at the levelled corner, topped with a flat stone hood supported by carved console brackets.
