Description
Nos 29 and 29A on High Street is a late 18th-century townhouse that now features ground-floor shops, while the upper floors are disused. The building is constructed of coursed, dressed sandstone, which is currently painted, and has a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys tall with four windows on the first floor. The ground floor has 20th-century shop windows, with the left window connected by a continuous fascia to the adjacent properties, Nos 25 and 27. The upper floors have large chamfered quoins, and the first-floor windows are sashes set in square-faced projecting surrounds with projecting sills. There are four similar windows on the second floor. The building features an eaves cornice, kneelers, and square-cut gable copings, along with part-rendered brick end stacks, one of which is truncated.
