Description
The walls surrounding the churchyard of Holy Trinity Church are 18th century structures with 19th century gates and gate piers. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond and include sections of reused squared limestone, topped with moulded stone coping and rendered in some areas. The churchyard features cast-iron gates and standards, while the Rectory gates and standards are made of wrought-iron. The wall stands approximately 1.2 metres high. The Rectory has double gates with square section railings that have twisted tips, set between open panel piers with tapered railings and scrolls. The churchyard has shaped double gates with square section railings and a cambered middle rail, supported by cylindrical standards with ball finials. These walls are included for their group value as an integral part of Holy Trinity Church.
