Description
63 and 65 Micklegate is a house dating from the early 19th century, featuring a 20th-century shopfront. The building is constructed from pink and cream mottled brick in Flemish bond, with window arches made of orange-red gauged brick. It has a stone-coped parapet above a pantile roof, which includes a brick stack at the rear.
The exterior showcases a three-storey, two-window front. The shopfront is designed with reeded pilasters, imposts, and a cornice. A glazed door is set back between half-canted plate glass windows, and on the right side, there is an upstairs door with six sunk panels beneath an overlight. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the second floor features unequal 9-pane sash windows, all with flat arches and painted stone sills. The interior has not been inspected.
