Description
The Register House, now part of County Hall, is a late 18th-century building. It is two storeys tall, constructed of red brick with a slate roof featuring lead hips and ridge. The building has an iron gutter and five windows with segmental heads, including two blind windows on the left. The hung sash windows have glazing bars, with two on the ground floor to the right and two later additions to the left. There is a stone porch that includes an entablature and cornice, supported by panelled pilasters, and features half-glazed doors with a rectangular fanlight. A modern two-storey extension is located to the right, and there is a Venetian window on the east side.
