Description

Rose Cottage is a mid-18th century house located in Beswick, near Wilfholme. Originally conceived as one of a terrace of three dwellings, each with an attic above, it is now a single house. The house is constructed of brick in an English garden wall bond pattern, with a pantiled roof. It is a single-story building with attics, arranged over three rooms. The front features a panelled door flanked by sliding sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath segmental brick arches. A small eight-pane window is located to the extreme left. The house has end and axial brick chimney stacks, with tumbled-in brick raised gables and a rounded saddle to the left-hand stack.
