Description
Masonic Hall is an office building dating from the early 19th century, with a later porch addition. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. It has a base, a first-floor sill band, and a top cornice. The windows are fitted with wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars, with two windows in each ground floor bay. The central window on the first floor has an architrave, frieze, and a consoled cornice. The entrance is elliptical-headed and is flanked by fluted flat pilasters, topped with a cornice and a complete fanlight. The porch is supported by Doric columns and has an Ionic entablature, with glazed infill that includes colonettes, a cornice, and an overlight. There are later doors, two stacks, and a later extension at the rear.
