Row of 3 town houses. c.1815-20; altered. Red brick in English garden wall bond (4+1, the header course including stretchers), Nos.34 and 35 painted yellow, with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted and with a back extension. Three storeys over cellars, with four 1st-floor windows (1, 2 and 1) and a continuous moulded gutter cornice. The doorways are to the left (up 1, 2 and 2 steps), all round-headed with moulded architraves and imposts, and fanlights (with radiating lead tracery at No.34, radiating glazing bars at No.36); there is a lobby doorway immediately left of the steps to No.35, with a plain stone lintel. Each house has one window on each floor except No.35 which has 2 at 1st floor: all at No.34 have altered glazing, those at 1st floor of No.35 are sashed without glazing bars, and No.36 has sashes without glazing bars at ground and 1st floors, and a 12-pane sash at 2nd floor (8+4 panes); all the windows have raised sills and wedge lintels. Each house has a cellar window with an iron grating. Two chimneys on the ridge, one at the right-hand gable. Rear and INTERIORS not inspected.
