Description
Wood End Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, dated 1686, as indicated by the inscription "David/Brown/1686" on the massive lintel above the door in the porch. The building is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys. On the ground floor, there is a 4-light and a 3-light double chamfered window, both featuring hoodmoulds. The first floor has similar 3-light windows. To the left, there is a two-storey lean-to porch with a triangular-headed doorway and a heavy hoodmould, along with a small single light window at the eaves level. The semicircular steps leading to the partly blocked doorway are from the 20th century. The farmhouse also has gable stacks.
