Description

The Church of St Paul is a church built in 1809, constructed of ashlar stone with a slate roof. It features a very simple nave, a small tower over the south porch, and a small chancel. The building has quoins and a sill band at the upper tier of the windows. All the windows have Y-tracery, plain stone surrounds, and segmental pointed heads, with the east window consisting of three intersecting lights. The north side has only two tall windows that are otherwise similar. The tower includes a roll-moulded doorway, a circular moulded recess, and single belfry louvres, topped by a short pyramidal spire with an ornamental finial. Inside, there is a gallery that now surrounds three sides, supported by cast iron columns with foliated capitals.
