Description
No. 31 Market Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features painted render with painted ashlar dressings and a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has three bays, with the two left-hand bays being more closely spaced. The ground floor is fitted with a modern glass shop front. The upper storeys have glazing bar sash windows set within architraves; the first floor windows are tall and narrow with eight panes, while the second floor windows are shorter with six panes. Above these windows is a bracketed timber eaves cornice. No chimneys are visible on the building.
