Description
The Lodge to Summerfield House, likely built in the 1840s by George Webster, is a single-storey structure with an attic, constructed from sandstone rubble and topped with a hipped slate roof. The north facade features one bay on either side of a central door projection, which has overhanging eaves and corner pilaster strips. The central projection is adorned with a pedimented gable. The windows are framed with chamfered stone surrounds and have a central timber mullion, with leaded glazing; however, their upper parts are now blank. The doorway also has a chamfered stone surround, and above it is a floating cornice supported by square corbels. At the center of the roof, behind the ridge, are chimneys with octagonal shafts.
