Description

There are three chest tombs located to the south of Dukinfield Old Chapel, dating from the 18th century. They are made of ashlar stone and each features a moulded base. The first tomb has a slab with a Latin inscription dedicated to Samuel Angier, a minister who died in 1713. The second tomb, which has square corner urns, is inscribed to the Reverend William Buckley of Dukinfield, who died in 1752, along with his wife, son, and daughter. The third tomb is dedicated to William Dukinfield of Castle-Hill, who died in 1735.
