Description

The milestone set in the boundary wall of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal dates from 1794 to 1797. It is a rectangular stone post with a curved top and a round indented face that features the inscription "18 miles." This milestone is part of a series along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
