Description

The statue of Lieutenant Colonel Sir BA Dobson is located in Victoria Square, Bolton, and was completed in 1900 by sculptor John Cassidy. It features a standing bronze figure on a polished granite plinth, which includes inscriptions. Lieutenant Colonel Sir BA Dobson, who lived from 1847 to 1898, served as the mayor of Bolton from 1895 to 1898. The statue was erected through public subscription to honor his contributions and service to the town of Bolton.
