Description
This is a warehouse, likely originally a house, probably dating to around 1760, with alterations made around 1860. It is constructed of brown brick in an irregular bond, with the first and second storeys stuccoed, except for the east bay. The roof is covered in grey slate, running parallel to the street.
The building is four storeys high with a five-window front. A plinth with a ribbed top is visible at ground level. The west side of the ground floor has a four-panel door. To the east of this is a pair of recessed sash windows, each with two panes and horns, separated by a fluted timber pilaster. There's a door of three short panels beneath four longer panels, with mock-arched heads, and a blocked overlight contained within a timber frame with fluted pilasters and ornate brackets supporting a hood with three Maltese crosses in its frieze. Further east are a pair of recessed sash windows, each with two panes and horns, and a rear entry. The stuccoed first and second storeys have reeded edges to the sides, top, and around the panels over the openings. The second floor has four recessed four-pane casements in the stucco, and a nearly flush twelve-pane sash above the rear entry, set within brickwork. The third floor has four recessed four-pane casements set under brick arches. The fourth floor has four similar casements, plus a nearly flush twelve-pane sash above the rear entry. A pair of brick chimneys are located on the back wall. The interior was not inspected.
