Description
Number 16 East Wing is a town house that may have originally served as a warehouse, now functioning alongside Number 16 West Wing as an office. The building's front dates from the 18th century or earlier and has been altered. It features lined render and a grey slate roof with a gable facing the street. The east side has a replaced camber-headed cart archway, while the entrance to the office on the west side includes six steps leading up to a brick barrel-vaulted hall.
The second storey has a floorband and two replaced three-light small-paned casements, and the third storey also has a floorband with a replaced three-light small-paned casement in the gable. The second and third storeys are adorned with rendered banded quoins at the south-east corner, a simple flush verge, and a cast-iron rainwater pipe and head at each end, with the one on the east dated 1840. The interior and rear of the building have been altered.
